Entering the hotel of the Sartori family, you open the door to the history of Crete that combines the Minoan, Arab, Venetian and Ottoman civilization of the conquerors who passed through the island. The hotel is located on the Venetian walls of Heraklion in the city centre a stone's throw from Eleftherias Square and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. The unique architecture characterizes the space, which is decorated with original artworks by local artists.

From the Architect

The aim of "Habitat Architect" was to create a unique aesthetic space in which the guest can relax, dream and be inspired . 

It is located at the Venetian Walls of Heraklion city in two fully reconstructed buildings with an internal atrium. The basic design principle for the exterior of the buildings was to respect the folk architectural form and to keep the shells upgraded with dynamic coloring. In the design of the atrium and the interior of the reception area and the four rooms, combined forms, shapes and colours of characteristic elements of various cultures that passed through the city were used, rendering them in a modern form and rare architectural aesthetics.

Our aim was to create a space that travelers could never forget.
